Background Music: "If I Could Reach Out (And Help Somebody)" by Otis Clay

Betty Price, better known as “Mother Price”, is serving her community by feeding and clothing those in need.

Once hungry as a child, Mother Price promised herself and God that her family will always have plenty to eat and no one she is aware of, will ever go hungry.

She quit her full time job after 23 years and began feeding people out of her home in the 1960’s. Mother Price was on a mission.

Mother Price was blessed with the FCHN building in 1997 and just celebrated its 20th Year Anniversary in April of 2008.

People in and outside of the community, love her and appreciate her warm tender caring love, and her hospitality.

Her doors are open to anyone in need.

The doors of FCHN are open 3 days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a great hot meal that is cooked with love, for anyone that is hungry. Her clients are able to take home bags of food on Wednesdays and Fridays. On Thursday afternoons, Deacon, Mother Price and volunteers travel to Roosevelt and Taylor to feed the homeless people that live under the viaduct. In the Winter months, they give out winter clothing and blankets also.

Mother Prices favorite quote is:

“If I can reach out and help somebody
then I’ve had a good day.”

We need your financial help to keep the doors open. Please help us to continue to help Gods people.

Your donations are tax deductible and will be greatly appreciated.
